In 1981, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) to meet the growing demand for management education. In 2003, NMIMS was declared a deemed to be university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The Vision of the University is to be a globally admired University by 2030. NMIMS Centre for International Studies (CIS) was established in the year 2006. In its 16th successful year of operations, SVKM’s NMIMS Centre for International Studies (CIS), Mumbai, a pioneer institute offering the Bachelor of Business Administration (International Business) program in collaboration with the Kingston University’s Kingston Business School – (AACSB Accredited), developing proficient managers and innovative entrepreneurs capable of working in the contemporary international context
Centre for International Studies also offers the students a few contemporary programs which include Enterprise Risk Management, Luxury Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Professional Communication, and Foreign Languages – Spanish, German, Mandarin, and Japanese. These certificate programs add salient skills to the students taking them one step ahead in their international career.

Eligibility
- Minimum of 60% aggregate marks from any stream.
- Candidate has to complete 2 years at Mumbai campus
- and 1 year at Kingston University, London.
- A minimum IELTS score of 6.0, TOEFL 80, or equivalent is required for those for whom English is not their first language or do not meet 70% and above score in English Language.

NMIMS-NPAT (National Test for Programs After Twelfth)
It is the official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree Programs offered by NMIMS after 12th. It covers Programs in Commerce, Economics, International Studies, Branding & Advertising, Liberal Arts & Management.
SVKM’s NMIMS conducts the UG Entrance examination every year for class XII passed out / appearing candidates to be eligible to their UG Programs across campuses.
The Entrance Examination is a computer based online examination to be held at the test centres.
