In 1981, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) to meet the growing demand for management education. In 2003, NMIMS was declared a deemed to be university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The Vision of the University is to be a globally admired University by 2030. The Mission of NMIMS is to emerge as a Centre of Excellence, best in class in India and Asia and yearning to be the best in the world by 2030.
The UGC and AICTE have recognized the private college Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce. The college is situated in Mumbai and was founded in 2007. NMIMIS is home to the Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce. India Today 2021 ranked it #2 for BBA.The college offers postgraduate and undergraduate studies, with the following options: BBA, MSc Finance, BCom (Hons), and BSc Finance.
BBA PROGRAM (BBA HONOURS)
The curriculum of BBA program is designed to provide industry with young managers for entry level positions for their first experience in a corporate role. The BBA program has been tailor made to fill the need through a practical approach towards the syllabus, guided by the faculty from the industry itself, students are prepared for the real corporate world.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board
- Minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Mathematics / Statistics subject mandatory for all campuses.
NMIMS-NPAT (National Test for Programs After Twelfth)
It is the official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree Programs offered by NMIMS after 12th. It covers Programs in Commerce, Economics, International Studies, Branding & Advertising, Liberal Arts & Management.
SVKM’s NMIMS conducts the UG Entrance examination every year for class XII passed out / appearing candidates to be eligible to their UG Programs across campuses.
The Entrance Examination is a computer based online examination to be held at the test centres.
