NarseeMonjee College of Commerce & Economics is a leading college affiliated to Mumbai University. It was established in 1964 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), a professionally managed trust with a large number of prestigious academic institutions, under its umbrella.
A college which started with an initial intake of 250 students has now grown to have a total strength of approximately 5500 students. It started with just one course in B.COM in 1964 and has added 6 more courses in Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), Bachelor in Commerce (Financial Markets), Bachelor in Commerce (Management and Finance), Bachelor in Commerce (Economics), Bachelor in Commerce (Economics & Analytics) and one inter-disciplinary Course Bachelor of Science (Information Technology).
The college has also started post graduate course in Commerce with three streams Advanced Accountancy. Business Management and Banking and Finance. In its journey of 69 years the college has given many prominent Industrialists, Chartered accountants, film artists, singers, musicians, theatre personalities, fashion designers and sport stars to the country.

Bachelor of Commerce
- Com. (Economics & Analytics): This isa combination of both economics and data analytics. This interdisciplinary program combines the principles of economics with the practical skills needed to analyze and interpret data, preparing graduates for a wide range of careers in the fields of finance, consulting, market research, and more.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) in Economics program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of both commerce and economics. The Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets)-(BFM) programoffers students a comprehensive and specialized education in the intricate world of financial markets. Designed to equip students with a deep understanding of financial concepts, investment strategies, risk management, and market analysis, the BFM program aims to cultivate a new generation of financial experts.
Bachelor Of Commerce – B.Com. (Accounts & Finance)
The BAF course provides comprehensive training to students in the field of Accounting & Finance by way of interaction, projects, presentations, industrial visits, practical training, job orientation and placements. It is a perfectly designed full time course for aspiring Chartered Accountants & Financial Analysts.
Bachelor of Commerce – B.Com.
The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program offers a comprehensive and dynamic educational experience designed to equip students with a strong foundation in the field of commerce and business. The college offers to choose specialisation either in Accountancy or in Business Management or in Statistics.

Total Intake: 360 seats
The entire admission procedure is according to the guidelines issued to the colleges by the University of Mumbai. According to the Hon’ble High Court verdict, preference is given to in-house students (based on merit) up to the sanctioned capacity of the F.Y.B. Com Class.
After admitting all in-house students, if there is any vacancy, it is filled according to the admission rules of the college, under Autonomy, as Outsider Category. Amended Ordinance 2151 is read as under for First Year B.Com.
