Engineering
Overview
Engineering is the application of science and math’s to solve problems. Engineers figure out how things work and find practical uses for scientific discoveries. Scientists and inventors often get the credit for innovations that advance the human condition, but it is engineers who are instrumental in making those innovations available to the world.
The word ‘engine’ itself comes from the Latin word ‘ingenium’ (c. 1250), which means ‘innate quality, especially mental power, hence a clever invention.’
Engineers are involved in the design, evaluation, development, testing, modification, inspection and maintaining of a wide range of products, structures and systems. This involves everything from the recommending of materials and processes, overseeing manufacturing and construction processes, and conducting failure analysis and investigation, to providing consultancy services and teaching engineering to students and trainees.

Eligibility for Engineering Courses
- Candidates must have passed the Class XII exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
- They must also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 45% ((at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only))in the above subjects combined
Duration
A regular Engineering is a 4 year course divided into eight semesters.
Architecture
Overview
Architecture is the “art or practice of designing and building structures and especially habitable ones”. Aarchitecture provides a sense of place and support of all types of human activity. Architecture helps the man-made fit in harmony with the environment while promoting health and well-being, enriching lives aesthetically and spiritually, providing economic opportunities, and creating a legacy that reflects and symbolizes culture and traditions.
A systematic study of architecture is called Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch).This course focuses on the principles and practice of architecture. During the course, you’ll learn about architectural design, construction techniques, building materials, structural systems, and more.
Why B. Arch.?
B Arch course requires various skills, including a passion for creativity, design, and the built environment. This course solves real-world design challenges and provides a platform to explore the artistic and imaginative side of the graduates. From ideating to mapping and overseeing the construction, a qualified architect is involved at every stage of any construction project.
A qualified BArch graduate has the option to choose their line of work from a range of areas ranging from consultants to architectural designers. BArch course offers a wide range of career options, from traditional architectural practice to urban design, historic preservation, and interior design. There is a constant demand for skilled architects that remains steady, providing a good BArch salary and job security to the candidates.
Eligibility
- Students should have completed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks along with the compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
- Candidates must appear for the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) which is conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA)
- Few colleges offer B Arch admission based on merit which is also termed as management quota, where candidates do not need to appear for any entrance examination, they need to meet the eligibility criteria and pay the B Arch fees.
Course duration and Fees
B Arch course have to study the design of the building, sociological, environmental and systematic aspects. B Arch course duration is five years which is divided into ten semesters.
B Arch course fees vary from one university to another and depend on the type of college, whether it is a private or Government College. The average B Arch course fee ranges from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 20 Lakhs.
